AIRWAVE OSCILLOMETRY

Airwave Oscillometry is a novel method for measuring lung function without patient effort and the most advanced form of the Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT). The tremoFlo C-100, the world’s first Airwave Oscillometry System (AOS), accurately measures lung function by superimposing a gentle multi-frequency airwave onto the patient’s respiratory airflow. Throughout the AOS measurement, the patient just breathes normally.

Taking measurements with the tremoFlo is fast and easy: only a short period of quiet breathing is required to obtain a reliable measurement of airway resistance, a well-established quantity that clearly and directly reflects airway obstruction. The tremoFlo meets or exceeds all requirements contained in the ERS guidelines for FOT measurements and readily includes normal and percent-predicted values with all applicable measurement outcomes. Given its portable format, the tremoFlo allows you to quickly and effortlessly measure lung function in a wide range of patients and settings.
